The 2016 Chateauneuf du Pape Les Terrasses is a fine example of old-vine Grenache from a parcel of vines near La Nerthe. Rose petals and black tea accent pristine cherry and raspberry fruit in this full-bodied but silky-lacy, delicate wine. Long, briny and refreshing on the finish, it's deceptively drinkable but undoubtedly packs a wallop.

Ripe, pristine black-cherry and raspberry flavors are accented by fresh thyme, rose petals and mint in this exuberant Grenache. It's luscious and concentrated on the palate, edged by fine-grained, persistent tannins that frame the finish. Enjoyable now the wine should gain depth and complexity through 2026 and hold further still.
