The 2022 Corton-Bressandes Grand Cru has quite a backward, earthy nose with more black fruit and touches of graphite and cigar box. The palate is medium-bodied with a sapid entry, gentle grip, and fine tension with an impressive backbone on the finish whilst maintaining refinement. With ample length and salinity, this should grow into a fine Corton-Bressandes after being frosted 2021. (93-95)
Dark yet smooth and fluid rather than brooding, this red boasts black cherry, blackberry and black currant aromas and flavors. There's a grain to its tannins, yet overall this is harmonious and echoes the fruit on the long aftertaste, adding iron and oak spice accents. Best from 2027 through 2040.
