Savory nose with flinty seashell character to the dried herbs, cloves, cranberries and seaweed. Minerally and taut on the palate with a medium body and deep flavors. Subtle salinity with tight, tense tannins. Rocky tannins make you think Barolo or Barbaresco. Drink or hold.
Patricio Tapia - Descorchados
Today, the Talinay Vineyard is the source of the winery’s best reds, especially when it comes to pinot noir, which seems to adapt very well to the Pacific influence and very calcareous soils there. And the result is a wine that’s pure ripe red fruit and floral tones up front, followed by a palate with saline notes that mark its contours and mingle with the fruit and flowers. The acidity is vibrant, adding freshness but also helping to deepen the flavors. One of Chile’s paradigmatic pinots.
