This brilliant Chassagne-Montrachet only has one problem: that it is too young and still a bit closed. With plenty of aeration, the great finesse and enormous concentration become very apparent. On one level there is the generosity of this commune, but on another there’s a noble austerity that’s rare for these wines. If you are really patient, the Amalfi lemon, white flower and delicately flinty aromas are ravishing. Drinkable now, but best from 2026.
