2016 100/100 (James Suckling, 2020)
Very complex and alluringly spicy aromas that bubble in and out of the nose (...). The texture is flawless, building smoothly with fine-grained and focused tannins that sustain a long, fresh finish. The new 1986, which was a legend. This is probably better.

100/100 (Jeb Dunnuck, 2019)
The finest vintage I've ever tasted from this estate; in fact, in this reviewer's opinion, this magical, perfect wine couldn't be better. (...) A perfect example of the old saying, an iron fist in a velvet glove, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a deep, layered, stacked mid-palate, flawless integration of its acidity and tannins, and a monster finish.

And 8 other perfect scores:

Wine Advocate - Lisa Perrotti Brown 100/100, Decanter - Jane Anson100/100, La Revue du Vin de France 20/20, Yves Beck 100/100, Matthew Jukes 20/20, Falstaff - Peter Moser 100/100, Wine Chronicles - Panos Kakaviatos 100/100, Gault & Millau - Yohan Castaing 20/20.

2006 96/100 (Wine Advocate / Neal Martin, 2016)
It is backward and can barely contain its energy. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, very symmetrical and poised, a fine line of acidity interwoven through the black fruit, touches of citrus fruit developing towards the poised and tensile finish.

95/100 (Wine Spectator / James Molesworth, 2009)
Offers a pure nose of crushed raspberry and violet, with aniseed. Full-bodied, with beautiful, well-inte- grated tannins and a long, polished texture to the finish. Very beautiful. Harmonious and structured.

1996 100/100 (Janeanson.com, 2021)
Still full-bodied and concentrated even now, but generous also, with cassis, tobacco and cigarbox smoke softening the edges of flint-chiselled tannic frame. (...) Las Cases can be almost Burgundian- like in how elusive it is (...), but when you get the one bottle that sings, it's all worth it.

98/100 (Wine Advocate / Neal Martin, 2016)
The palate is seamless from start to finish, extraordinarily pure, (...) impressive weight and power allied with genuine finesse and tension towards the silky smooth finish. It stands as one of the best wines of the vintage without one iota of doubt.
