A fresh and lively wine with nutmeg and dried orange to the sliced strawberry aromas and flavors. Sophisticated and complex with a reserve and focus. Medium body, very fine and subtle. Shy. It opens all the time and changes character between earth and fruit. Take your time on this. Drink or hold.

The 2021 Pinot Noir Akiko's Cuvée is a blend of Yu-ki, with smaller pieces from Gloria and Pratt—a selection of the best barrels in the cellar. The aromatics are especially popping today. Sweet rose petal, lavender, red cherry fruit, mint, spice and blood orange are all beautifully lifted. This is another terrific wine from Akiko and Ken Freeman.
