The 2020 Volnay Les Grands Champs ler Cru is the Domaine's 0.24-hectare monopole located on strip on the upper part of the lieu-dit, just below En l'Ormeau. This has an excellent nose: vibrant, cohesive, quite mineral driven with subtle florality. The palate is medium-bodied with saline-tinged red fruit, assiduously-judged acidity with a tensile finish. This is Bouley's he highlight this vintage.

The 2020 Volnay 1er Cru Les Grands Champs Monopole is lovely, bursting with aromas of sweet cherries, wild berries, peonies and smoke. Medium to full-bodied, ample and seamless, with well-integrated tannins and succulent acids, it concludes with an expansive finish.
