Here’s proof that Pouilly-Fuisse’s new 1er Cru designations are richly deserved! Deep nose of apricot and candied-orange slices with leesy and toasty complexity. Stunning concentration and silkiness on the medium-bodied palate. And the energy that’s packed into the finish of this wine is off the scale. A great white Burgundy that in no way copies the wines of the Cote d’Or! From vines planted in 1959. Fermented and matured in oak casks for 12 months, then matured for a further 9 months in stainless steel. Drink or hold.
