To further honor the occasion, the anniversary release is presented as a special collector’s edition, offered in an exclusive three-bottle set, each shipment housed in its own handcrafted wooden case, an enduring tribute to a legacy worth preserving.
Instantly recognizable, the label features the noble profile of Brolio Castle, encircled by the walls that have stood guard for centuries. To mark a pivotal milestone, the classic earthy palette is enhanced with luminous gold details celebrating the 30th anniversary of “Nuova Ricasoli.” In 1993, Francesco Ricasoli devoted himself fully to the family estate, launching a renaissance that restored its prominence within Italian winemaking and reaffirmed its historic bond with Chianti Classico and beyond.
Bright and floral on the nose with orange blossom to the vivid sliced cherry character. Medium body, with ultra-fine tannins that are supple and caressing. Gorgeous cooked peach pie and cherry aftertaste. Delicious to taste now, but better in 2028.
One of the estate's most important and successful bottles, the Barone Ricasoli 2020 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Castello di Brolio is plump and rich with warm-vintage layers of blackberry, juicy cherry, spice and soft earth. It ages in tonneaux for 22 months, of which only 30% is new oak, yet that is more than enough to impart savory tones, soft tannins and rich textural support to this full-bodied Sangiovese. Production is 33,000 bottles.
