Fortunately, the two off-screen actors are still friends and still collaborating. 

And the result is something we can all legally enjoy while keeping our teeth.

Despite their prowess at making drugs, Paul and Cranston are not the ones actually making Dos Hombres. And that's probably a good thing. Because they've entrusted that process to distiller pros in San Luis del Rio, a small village in the mezcal powerhouse that is Oaxaca.

The juice inside the bottle is made from espadin agave that's a minimum of six years old. Once harvested, that agave is cooked underground for four days to bring out all those natural sugars. The material is then mashed by a stone wheel, with the resulting liquid fermented for seven to 10 days before being distilled. Eventually, you get to drink it.

When you do, you'll find an easygoing mezcal that's full of fruit notes—apple, mango and pineapple, mostly—plus mild wood and just a hint of smoke. It's plenty smooth if you want to drink it on its own. But no one's going to stop you from mixing this stuff with whatever you like to mix mezcal with.
