The 2016 Bockstein Spätlese is very clear, elegant and exotic on the nose, displaying ripe figs, plums, dried pineapple, passion fruit and white peach aromas on a flinty and complex foundation. Lean and racy on the palate, this is a gorgeously fine and salty-piquant Spätlese with lovely grip and tension. Highly stimulating, thanks to its mineral freshness and vibrating acidity that give a salty, stimulatingly "dry" finish. Great finesse and purity here. 7.5% alcohol. Tasted in March 2018 from AP 22 17.
