The 2019 Chablis Mont de Milieu 1er Cru has a tensile, mineral-driven, malic bouquet that you would assume derives from a much cooler growing season. The palate is very well balanced with a fine bead of acidity. A Chablis that is cool, calm and collected, displaying fine harmony and precision toward the persistent finish. Superb.

There is a dried fruit character to the apricot and poached pear aromas that flash wisps of algae, sea breeze and citrus. The powerful bigger-bodied flavors possess a lovely texture while retaining plenty of punch thanks to the bright acidity supporting the lingering and balanced finish where a touch of wood slowly emerges. This is very good and already displaying find complexity. 91-93
