Fruit from the plot in the upper part of the Clos retains 50% of the stems, while the lower block is destemmed. A very light reduction. An attractive balanced red fruit, along with some chocolate notes, and Sylvie suggests a little tobacco which I can now see. Expressive and alluring, this red delivers aromas and flavors of rose, cherry, raspberry, sandalwood and stony mineral. Vibrant acidity is the guiding force, while a line of dusty tannins informs the finish. Nonetheless, there is plenty of fruit and spice flavors that resonate through the long aftertaste. Best from 2029 through 2048.
