Also beautiful, the 2016 Rasteau Vieilles Vignes offers loads of black raspberry, blueberry, graphite and floral notes in a medium to full-bodied, ripe, hedonistic style that’s already impossible to resist. 16 bucks? It’s a steal. The blend is 65% Grenache, 25% Syrah, and 10% Mourvèdre, and it’s going to keep through 2016, but bottles wouldn’t last that long at my house. Range 90-92

Loaded with dark fruit, the 2016 Rasteau Vieilles Vignes is a blend of 65% Grenache, 25% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre. Full-bodied, plush and long, it delivers purple-skinned plums, super ripe black cherries and pronounced licorice notes. It's hard to believe such great bargains continue to exist.
